Can you tell me one thing though that is bugging me for some time now. Rights of the photographer vs rights of the subject.

Since the rights will probably vary depending on the situation I will ask a specific case only to make it easier for you to reply, if you know.

Subject is someone I know.
I shoot her photos and she too poses for me.

Two options here on the type of subject:-

She may be a model creating portfolio for herself through me [free of cost] OR someone who just posed and has no use for her photos except taking copies for her own self.

I give her the photos digitally and do not take payment for my effort in shooting and also editing.

Now can I host her photos on my blog?? Which also means I am not using her photos for gaining monetarily directly except of course advertising my work on my own blog.

What are my rights here and hers?
Can she stop me from posting on my blog? Do I need a model release for using her photos for ANY purpose or for some purpose I am allowed without any such release?
